Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 31, 2026
This privacy policy explains how WildThumbnails ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use wildthumbnails.com and our AI-powered YouTube thumbnail generation service.
Information We Collect
- Account information, such as your name, email address, and password (if you create an account with email and password)
- Information from Google Sign-In when you choose to sign in with Google (see "Google Sign-In / OAuth" below)
- Usage data and analytics related to how you use the service
- Content you submit, including channel details, video titles, uploaded images, and generated thumbnails
- Payment and billing information (processed securely by our payment provider, Stripe)
Google Sign-In / OAuth
WildThumbnails offers optional Google Sign-In so you can create and access your account without setting a separate password. When you choose "Sign in with Google," Google shows a consent screen and, if you approve, shares limited account information with us.
We request and may receive from Google:
- Your Google account email address
- Your basic profile information (such as name and profile picture)
- A unique Google account identifier used to recognize your account on return visits
We use this Google information only to:
- Create and authenticate your WildThumbnails account
- Log you in on future visits
- Display your name and avatar in the product interface
- Send essential account-related emails (for example, receipts or security notices)
We do not use Google Sign-In to access your Gmail, Google Drive, YouTube channel content, contacts, or other Google services beyond the basic profile and email scopes needed for authentication. We do not sell Google account data. You can revoke WildThumbnails' access at any time in your Google Account permissions.
Authentication is handled through our authentication provider (Supabase Auth), which processes Google OAuth on our behalf so we can create and maintain your session.
How We Use Your Information
- To provide, operate, and improve our thumbnail generation service
- To authenticate users and secure accounts
- To personalize your experience and recommendations
- To communicate with you about your account, billing, and product updates
- To process payments and maintain billing records
- To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or security issues
How We Share Information
We share personal information only with service providers that help us run WildThumbnails, and only as needed to provide the service. This may include:
- Authentication and database hosting (Supabase)
- Payment processing (Stripe)
- Hosting and infrastructure (for example, Vercel)
- Analytics and product improvement tools
These providers process data under their own privacy policies and contractual obligations to us. We do not sell your personal information.
Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, or misuse. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Data Retention
We retain account and usage information for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data as described below.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@wildthumbnails.com. If you signed in with Google, you can also manage or revoke app access from your Google Account settings.
Children's Privacy
WildThumbnails is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
